This isn’t your regular vodka, contrieau and cran cosmopolitan; It’s much more, with a melon twist.
Since melons are summer-season fruit, I used them instead of ice-cubes in my cocktails. Simply use a melon-baller to scoop out the melon, and chill. Unlike icecubes, the melon’s won’t dilute your cocktails.
Try the melon chillers in this melon cosmopolitan.
Melon Chill Cosmo
– 1 part vodka
– 1/2 part Melon liqueur, or Midori
– 1-1/2 part cranberry juice
+ melon chillers
(watermelon, cantaloupe, and honey dew)
Wash the rind of the melons with regular soap or with a vegetable wash. Everything which the knife touches on the outside of the melon will end up in contact with the watermelon flesh as it slices through. Use a sharp knife to carefully mellon in half.
Using a melon-baller carefully scoop out melon balls. Carefully thread them onto a cocktail pick.
Place in a freeze-safe container and freeze for at least an hour until frozen– you can prepare ahead of time and leave them in the freezer until ready to use.
